We have been hosting some of our friends from England, exposing them to quintessential Alberta. It is hard to define quintessential because of course, that depends on so many things. Location, (city or countryside?), heritage, (Alberta has many many heritages and cultures represented within its borders) and so on. So we have done waffles and pancakes for breakfast, went to Sylvan Lake where we explained that that small patch of sand is 'the beach', and experienced a rodeo in a small town.
I captured this on the drive home. Perhaps it's a caricature but it surely must be included in the list of Alberta quintessentials.
