I just came across the Hebrew phrase, 'Tov Meod'. It means 'very good' and was used by God in the first book of the Bible, Genesis, to describe all that he had made. I was recently in San Diego for a conference (stay with me, my thoughts will come together!) and in between sessions, the beach beckoned. I could have sat there for hours, people watching and gazing at the pacific waves crash onto the golden sands. The power of the ocean, the strength and tenacity of the surfers, the simple pleasure of a runner with their dog at their side and the sheer spectacle of it all was joyous. In those moments on that beach and now, looking back at my photos, I think 'Tov Meod' is an accurate sentiment. Very good indeed.
